Nutraceuticals
Capsules, tablets, gummies and powders standardised on declared curcuminoid content.
Standardised curcuminoid extracts, turmeric oleoresin and a full family of solubilised and bioavailability-enhanced turmeric actives, manufactured to documented specification.
Our most developed extraction programme — from 95% curcuminoids to water-dispersible and high-bioavailability turmeric actives.
Curcumin is the cornerstone of CTA's speciality portfolio and the product on which our process library is deepest. Curcuminoids — curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin — are extracted from the dried rhizome of Curcuma longa and purified to a standardised 95% curcuminoid assay determined by HPLC.
Beyond the conventional 95% grade, CTA has developed an extensive turmeric process platform: water-soluble and water-dispersible curcumin produced by pH-shift, protein-matrix and MCT-carrier methods; bioavailability-enhanced systems; turmeric oleoresin; and curcuminoid separation and resin-purification routes. This breadth allows us to match a curcumin active to a buyer's exact dosage form rather than forcing a formulation around a single grade.
CTA supplies Turmeric across multiple grades. Custom specifications are developed against a documented buyer requirement.
| Botanical source | Curcuma longa L. — dried rhizome |
| Appearance | Orange to orange-yellow fine powder |
| Standardisation | 95% total curcuminoids (HPLC); other grades to specification |
| Solubility | Grade-dependent — oil-dispersible (standard) to fully water-dispersible |
| Loss on drying | Not more than 5% |
| Total ash | Not more than 6% |
| Heavy metals | Conforms to USP / regulatory limits |
| Microbiology | TPC ≤10,000 cfu/g; yeast & mould ≤500 cfu/g; E. coli & Salmonella absent |
| Pesticide residues | Within IP / USP / EP limits |
| Particle size | Buyer-specified mesh available |
All values are typical specifications and are confirmed batch-by-batch on the Certificate of Analysis. Custom specifications can be developed against a buyer's documented requirement. Values are indicative and to be confirmed by CTA's technical team before publication.
CTA's curcumin programme is built on a documented set of process routes — the deepest in our portfolio:
A documented process library is what separates a speciality product from a commodity — it makes grades reproducible and lets CTA develop a custom specification with confidence.
Statements describe traditional use and the role of the active in normal body function. They are structure–function statements and not claims to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Turmeric and curcumin are permitted under FSSAI and widely accepted in major export markets. Curcumin (INS 100) is an established natural colour. Regulatory dossiers and grade-specific documentation are provided on enquiry.
Note: grades, marker percentages and regulatory status are indicative and to be confirmed by CTA's technical and regulatory team before publication.
Our standard grade is 95% total curcuminoids by HPLC. We also produce turmeric oleoresin (10–40% curcuminoids), water-soluble and water-dispersible curcumin by multiple routes, and bioavailability-enhanced systems. Custom assays are developed against a written specification.
Yes. CTA has developed water-soluble and water-dispersible curcumin using pH-shift, protein-matrix and MCT-carrier methods, intended for beverages, shots and liquid dosage forms.
Turmeric is sourced through CTA's cultivation and buy-back network. Batch-to-farm traceability is available on request — see our Backward Integration programme.
