One platform, from raw botanical to purified active

CTA's manufacturing platform covers herbal extraction, phytochemical purification, essential-oil and oleoresin processing, value-added spice handling and pilot-scale scale-up.

Herbal Extraction

Standardised botanical extraction

CTA extracts medicinal and aromatic plants into standardised extracts assayed to a defined active-marker percentage. Water, hydro-alcoholic and solvent routes are operated, and extracts are produced as ratio extracts or standardised to a marker compound by HPLC, UV, gravimetry or titration.

The catalogue runs to more than 120 standardised extracts — the foundation of our herbal-extracts business.

  • Standardised and ratio extracts
  • Water, hydro-alcoholic and solvent extraction
  • Spray drying and controlled drying
  • Marker standardisation by HPLC, UV, gravimetry, titration
Phytochemical Purification

Isolating high-purity actives

Beyond standardised extracts, CTA purifies individual phytochemicals to high assay — curcuminoids, piperine, caffeine, chlorogenic acid, lutein, berberine and others. Purification draws on crystallisation, recrystallisation, resin adsorption and fractionation.

  • Crystallisation and recrystallisation
  • Resin-adsorption and chromatographic purification
  • Fractionation and separation of marker compounds
  • Salt formation and solubilisation chemistry

Pharma Processes

Custom extraction for pharma & nutraceutical buyers

CTA offers contract extraction and purification services to pharma and nutraceutical companies that need a specific molecule isolated or upgraded.

Liquid–Liquid Extraction (LLE)

Solvent-based liquid–liquid extraction for separating and concentrating target compounds from complex botanical matrices, operated as a contract service.

Solvent Extraction & Upgradation

Solvent extraction and purified-fraction upgradation routes to take a basic extract to a higher-assay, cleaner pharmaceutical-grade active.

Oils & Oleoresins

Essential oils and spice oleoresins

CTA processes spice and botanical raw materials into essential oils and oleoresins — black pepper, ginger, turmeric, cardamom, clove, nutmeg and more — for the food, flavour and fragrance industries.

  • Spice oleoresins — pepper, ginger, turmeric, capsicum, clove
  • Essential and volatile oils
  • Steam distillation and solvent extraction
  • Standardised to volatile-oil or active content

Spice, Herb & Botanical Processing

Value-added handling of whole and ground botanicals

A complete value-added line for spices, herbs and botanicals — from incoming cleaning to finished, sterilised, packed product.

Pre-cleaning

Removal of foreign matter, dust and extraneous material from incoming raw botanicals.

Steam Sterilisation

Steam sterilisation to reduce microbial load while protecting the botanical's character.

Milling & Grinding

Milling to a buyer-specified mesh — coarse cut to fine powder.

Blending

Custom spice blends, seasonings and multi-botanical formulations.

Packing & Small-Pouch Packing

Bulk packing and small pouch / sachet packing for retail-ready formats.

Quality Release

Every lot screened and released by the in-house analytical lab.

Pilot Scale & Scale-up

From pilot batch to commercial supply

A dedicated pilot-scale plant lets CTA trial new products, validate process routes and carry out technology transfer before committing to commercial-scale manufacture. It is the bridge between a developed process and reliable bulk supply — and the engine behind both our speciality programme and our contract-manufacturing service.

  • Pilot batches for new-product development
  • Process validation and optimisation
  • Technology transfer to commercial scale
  • Scale-up support for contract-manufacturing partners
